Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a world-class client in Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location : Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Employment Type : Contract

Pay Rate Range: $70 to $78/hour on W2

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in the design of heavy mechanical equipment , such as large conveyance systems, automotive systems, or large robotic systems.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within technical teams and cross-functional groups .
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration abilities , with a proven track record of building productive partnerships.
• Proven leadership skills , including experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers or team members.
• Proficient in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks .
• Experience conducting engineering analyses using classical methods , FEA software , or MathCAD .
• Knowledge and application of design standards such as AWS, DIN, ASTM, SAE, and ASME.
• Ability to apply broad engineering knowledge and practices to solve complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality results.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering , Sciences , or Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience with Disney design standards or equivalent, including ASTM F24 compliance.
• At least five (5) years of experience in amusement industry mechanical design , including gravity coasters, round rides, dark rides, and omni-movers.

Preferred Education:

Master’s degree in engineering or an MBA is highly desirable.
