About the Opportunity:

A well-established general contractor with a strong presence across the Southeast is seeking a Project Manager to join its growing team in Raleigh. This is a critical role that

bridges the gap between client development, estimating, and project execution, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering well-planned, high-quality projects from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the preconstruction process from initial pursuit through project turnover to operations
• Collaborate with owners, architects, and internal teams to ensure clear scope, accurate budgets, and early-stage constructability insight
• Support estimating teams with bid strategy, scope reviews, value engineering, and subcontractor outreach
• Develop and maintain project schedules and milestone tracking during the preconstruction phase
• Lead and facilitate internal and external meetings, including design coordination, pricing reviews, and milestone updates
• Support business development and project pursuit efforts by contributing to RFQs/RFPs and client presentations
• Coordinate internal handoff of preconstruction documentation and knowledge to project delivery teams

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management within the commercial or industrial construction sectors
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, means & methods, and budgeting
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in preconstruction and estimating software tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar)
