Senior Maintenance Technician

Kelly Services is partnering with Signode to find Night Shift Maintenance Technicians in the Florence, KY area. This location produce strap, stretch and protective packaging and packaging tools and equipment used to apply the bulk packaging materials. These commercial packaging products are used to pack, bundle, unitize, protect and secure goods during warehousing and transit. This position is a direct hire position and would come with a $2000 sign-on bonus and full benefits that would start 30 days after you start.

Job Description

Shift:

• Night Shift: 7:45 pm to 8:00 am. 12 hours shift. Rotative schedule M/T/S/S - W/T/F (shift differential will apply)

Salary:

• $35.00 – 41.00/hourly (Based on experience) plus 10% shift differential
• $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (Paid in installments - 50% after 30 days and after 6 months)

Summary:

The primary purpose of the Sr. Maintenance Technician is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality. Servicing and repairing complex equipment. Complies with applicable regulations and the department’s Safety program.

Essential Functions:

• Performs troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems.
• Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment.
• Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management.
• Performs corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
• Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
• Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
• Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
• Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum High School diploma or GED and mechanical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanic.

Experience:

• Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
• Ability to read and use schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
• Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
• Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance.
• Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
• Must have a good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.
• Forklifts and scissor lift driving experience is preferred.
