Senior Claims Specialist – Medical Malpractice

Location: Hybrid (2 days in Orange County office) or remote within California

Compensation: Up to $120K DOE + $500/month auto allowance

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex medical malpractice claims, including oversight of defense counsel and litigation strategy
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims in accordance with internal guidelines
• Draft case evaluation reports and guide the claims process from intake through resolution
• Support litigation efforts including mediation, MSC, and trial preparation
• Document all critical case developments and maintain timely updates in internal systems
• Mentor and support junior claims team members
• Respond to coverage questions and support hotline requests as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Legal and/or medical background preferred
• At least five years of medical malpractice claims experience (or three years in a similar claims environment)
• Valid California driver’s license
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and analytical abilities
