Reliability Mechanical Specialist/Rotating Equipment

Overview:

The Rotating Equipment Mechanical Reliability Specialist is responsible for maintaining and improving mechanical system reliability at a single facility. The role includes hands-on maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and equipment performance optimization.

This position requires a combination of office work and field work and is typically requires approximately 30% travel domestically.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with industrial rotating/mechanical equipment
• Background as a journeyman, millwright, machinist, or field service technician
• Capable of compressor rebuilds
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Able to work independently in field conditions
• Experience with vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and CMMS-Preferred

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating and mechanical equipment
• Lead overhauls and inspections of compressors, pumps, motors, Piping systems, Turbines, Centrifugal and gearboxes
• Provide onsite technical support for mechanical systems
• Assist with turnaround planning, cost estimates, and equipment troubleshooting
• Machinist or millwright apprenticeship, or Associate’s in Mechanical Technology- preferred
