Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job Opportunity: Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Portland, ME

Join a leading hospital in Portland, Maine, where the commitment to patient-centered care is at the forefront of our practice. We are seeking multiple Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to support our clinical services expansion. Our facility operates as a Level 1 Trauma Center, managing over 60,000 emergency visits annually and hosting a collaborative team of physician anesthesiologists and dedicated nursing staff.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia services for general surgical adult cases.
• Administer spinal anesthesia and manage ventilation during procedures.
• Collaborate with anesthesiology team under a medical direction billing model.
• Participate in a commitment to patient-centered care within a supportive team environment.
• Ensure timely and quality documentation in EPIC EMR.
• Adhere to safety and operational protocols in a busy surgical environment with an average of 100 cases per day.
• Provide care across all patient age demographics, including working with a dedicated pediatric CRNA specialty team.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification - REQUIRED
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center - REQUIRED (minimum of 1 year; new grads will not be accepted)
• Ability to work at the hourly rate cap of $280 - REQUIRED
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative setting.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current ME State License - highly preferred , candidates may be accepted pending license acquisition.
• BLS and ACLS certification - REQUIRED (PALS is optional).
