About the Facility
Chinle is a 60-bed hospital offering comprehensive care to approximately 35,000 Navajo Nation residents. Services include inpatient/outpatient primary care, pediatrics, OB/GYN, emergency medicine, mental health, public health, and more. This role is primarily outpatient with flexibility to support across service units if needed.
️ What You ll Do
- Deliver full-spectrum outpatient care under the direction of the Acting Primary Care Director.
- Participate in culturally responsive, community-centered health services.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance continuity of care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with IHS protocols, CMS standards, and privacy laws.
Assignment Details
- Schedule : Monday Friday, 40 hours/week; potential for some telehealth or coverage at surrounding clinics.
- Duration : Flexible minimum of 13 weeks to 12 months (with potential to extend).
- Start : As soon as credentialed.
- EMR : RPMS (training provided).
Candidate Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (ABIM or ABFM).
- Unrestricted state license and DEA (Schedules II V).
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 6 months recent clinical experience in outpatient care.
- Clean background check, malpractice history, and valid driver s license.
- Ability to pass health and security clearance.
