Now Hiring: Lead Cook – French Bistro on the Upper East Side**
Established for over 30 years in the heart of Manhattan’s Upper East Side, our classic French restaurant is looking for a dedicated, experienced Lead Cook to join our kitchen team.
We are a fast-paced, high-volume bistro serving traditional French cuisine with a loyal neighborhood following. We take pride in our consistency, quality, and warm service—and we’re looking for someone who shares those values.
Position: Lead Cook
Location: Upper East Side, NYC
Schedule: Full-time
Start Date: Immediate
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high-volume kitchen (French cuisine a plus)
* Ability to manage prep and line efficiently during service
* Strong communication skills in English (must be able to communicate clearly with the chef and team)
* Reliable, punctual, and organized
* Team-player mentality with a positive attitude
Responsibilities:
* Lead and support kitchen staff during service
* Maintain kitchen standards and food safety protocols
* Execute dishes with consistency and attention to detail
* Help with ordering and inventory as needed
