Corporate Planning and Development Analyst Sr.
The position is responsible for portfolio administration and projects related to Comerica Capital Advisors (a stand-alone subsidiary of Comerica Incorporated) and Comerica's warrant portfolio. Additionally, the role supports long-term strategy, reporting, analysis, and related projects.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer 700-800 warrant positions, which have generated approximately $50 million in proceeds over recent years.
- Negotiate legal agreements for warrant transactions, coordinate with attorneys, and advise management on risks and liabilities.
- Oversee a portfolio of equity investments, including underwriting, operations, reporting (capital calls, distributions, financial tracking, valuations, Volcker Rule certifications, and board/regulatory reporting).
- Conduct ad hoc analysis, reporting, and research to assess risks and rewards in various scenarios.
- Participate in audits and examinations, ensuring issues are addressed timely.
- Identify and mitigate risks facing the Corporation.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
- At least 4 years of progressive financial analysis experience, preferably in financial services.
- Minimum 3 years of proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and charts.
- At least 3 years of financial analysis and modeling experience.
- 1 year of project management experience.
- 1 year of experience working with legal documents.
Work Environment: Category C - Days in the office will vary from 2-5 days per week.
Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
