Senior Asset Manager – San Francisco
Position
The Senior Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of assets in Northern California and participating in future acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have experience in a principal-based environment with an investor mindset focused on maximizing cash flow and increasing value. Experience managing retail leasing teams, understanding tenant mix, and representing the Company in community interactions are essential.
The role requires leadership, management, and communication skills, and is highly visible both internally and externally.

Reporting
The Senior Asset Manager will report to the Executive Managing Director of Operations and President.
Responsibilities
- Maximize total return through operational efficiencies and value-add strategies.
- Coordinate with third-party property managers, leasing agents, brokers, consultants, and attorneys on business plans, budgets, lease analysis, and approvals.
- Participate in lease negotiations and renewals.
- Conduct routine property inspections to ensure readiness.
- Maintain and develop tenant relationships.
- Prepare portfolio reports for senior management.
- Negotiate contracts and oversee capital improvement projects.
- Work with financial analysts on property valuations.
- Manage capital improvement strategies and oversee construction activities.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and develop conflict management strategies.
- Monitor economic and investment trends affecting real estate values.
- Collaborate with the acquisition team on potential investments.
Knowledge / Skill Requirements
- BA/BS in finance, real estate, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
- 7-10+ years in commercial real estate asset management or related experience.
- Financial analysis skills; understanding of asset-level financial statements.
- Experience in lease management and retail/office metrics.
- Knowledge of real estate accounting and design/construction processes.
- Proficiency in Yardi, MS Office 365, Excel; Argus a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
Compensation
