Role Overview

Wellington Management is seeking a Research Associate to join their Leveraged Credit Research team as part of the Early Career Investor Program. The role involves conducting investment research and analysis, working collaboratively with portfolio managers and analysts.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze bonds across various sectors, particularly Telecom, alongside senior analysts.
• Develop unique research insights to support investment conclusions.
• Conduct proprietary credit research using company filings and independent sources.
• Build multi-year financial models for valuation assessments.
• Generate investment ideas and monitor existing portfolio positions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and provide feedback.

Required Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience as a Credit or Equity Analyst.
• Experience in high yield or bank loan research, preferably covering Telecom, TMT, or Industrials sectors.

Qualifications

• Strong investment acumen and passion for financial markets.
• Excellent collaboration and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated experience in effective teamwork.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a curious mindset.
• Strong academic credentials; progress towards CFA/CAIA Charter is favorable but not essential.
