Job Description
The Port of Seattle is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO is the Port’s top financial executive and serves as a strategic advisor to the Executive Director, Executive Leadership Team, and Port Commission. This “at-will” role is responsible for shaping financial policy, safeguarding public assets, and ensuring long-term economic sustainability. The CFO provides fiduciary leadership with oversight of treasury functions and a $3 billion plus debt portfolio. Ten years of financial management and operations experience in leading an organization’s financial and accounting function; directing financial strategies including responsibility for the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk and compliance, and oversight of the organization’s financial activities. Five years’ senior leadership experience as a Chief Financial Officer, senior leader or performing similar functions including working with and collaborating with other executives to strategically align financial goals and overall business objectives.

Position Qualifications
- Ten (10) years of financial management and operations experience in leading an organization’s financial and accounting function; directing financial strategies including responsibility for the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk and compliance, and oversight of the organization’s financial activities.
- Five (5) years’ senior leadership experience as a Chief Financial Officer, senior leader or performing similar functions including working with and collaborating with other executives to strategically align financial goals and overall business objectives.
- Preferable to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, or public administration.
