Labor & Employment Counsel – San Francisco, CA

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Counsel to join its San Francisco office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment attorney to work on a wide range of litigation matters, including class actions and PAGA cases, while also counseling clients on federal and state employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defend single-plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and reasonable accommodation cases.
• Handle PAGA and class action litigation.
• Manage cases independently from start to finish, including discovery, depositions, and motions.
• Counsel clients on employment law compliance at both state and federal levels.
• Take and defend depositions, including plaintiffs and corporate witnesses.
• Draft and argue dispositive and discovery motions.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) required ; must be licensed to practice law in California.
• 9-12 years of labor & employment litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with depositions, motions practice, and counseling on workplace policies.
• A small portable book of business is preferred but not required.
• Hybrid work schedule with three days in the office per week.
• Collaborative, high-performance team dedicated to employment law matters.
