Overview
Opportunity: Task Force Chief Engineer
This opportunity provides a talented leader the chance to showcase their experience throughout the HHM Hotels portfolio as a Task Force Chief Engineer. The Task Force leader will lead and manage maintenance teams on property and provide short-term and long-term coverage as needed. This individual is expected to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and adapt to different projects across various hotel types, including full service, luxury, select service, extended-stay, and boutique properties, both branded and independent. The position requires flexibility for extensive travel throughout HHM Hotels' portfolio.

Essential Job Functions
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring they perform according to brand or hotel standards and HHM core values.
- Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
- Manage bids, quotes, and contracts for third-party vendors.
- Oversee small projects or PIPS, and report on work progress.
- Install or repair drywall and other wall coverings.
- Paint designated areas and items.
- Install and replace electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, and light bulbs.
- Install, replace, and program televisions.
- Perform minor plumbing functions.
- Maintain heating and cooling pumps and perform preventive maintenance on units.
- Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, complete work orders, and keep accurate records.
- Maintain hotel grounds and exterior appearance.
- Refurbish, paint, and finish furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Test and maintain hotel’s life safety systems to ensure full operability.
- Keep repair and maintenance records and ensure compliance with service contracts and regulations.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal codes.
- Enhance guest satisfaction scores by maintaining high standards.
- Follow sustainability practices in line with HHM’s EarthView program.
- Practice safety protocols, wear protective gear, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements
- 3-5 years of managerial hospitality experience.
- Previous experience with Marriott or Hilton preferred.
- Ability to stay on-site for coverage needs.
- High School diploma or trade school coursework preferred.
- Relevant engineer/maintenance experience or training required.
- Certifications may be required.
Work Environment and Context
- Variable work schedule, including holidays, weekends, or alternate shifts.
- 100% travel across hotels in the United States.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, climbing, and crouching.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. HHM Hotels offers a competitive package aligned with market standards, with higher earnings potential for candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience.
