Overview
Opportunity: Task Force Chief Engineer
This opportunity offers a talented leader the chance to showcase their experience across the HHM Hotels portfolio as a Task Force Chief Engineer. The leader will manage maintenance teams on property and provide short-term and long-term coverage as needed. The role requires working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and adapting to various projects across different hotel types, including full service, luxury, select service, extended-stay, and boutique properties. Extensive travel throughout HHM Hotels' portfolio is expected.

Essential Job Functions
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring performance aligns with brand standards and HHM core values.
- Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
- Manage bids, quotes, and contracts with third-party vendors.
- Oversee small projects or PIPS, managing and reporting progress.
- Install or repair drywall and other wall coverings.
- Paint designated areas and items.
- Install and replace electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, and bulbs.
- Install, replace, and program televisions.
- Perform minor plumbing functions.
- Maintain heating and cooling pumps, including preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and complete work orders, maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain hotel exterior and grounds' curb appeal.
- Refurbish, paint, and finish furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Test and maintain hotel life safety systems for operational readiness.
- Keep repair and maintenance records and ensure compliance with service contracts and codes.
- Work towards increasing guest satisfaction scores.
- Follow sustainability practices in line with HHM’s EarthView program.
- Practice safety protocols, wear protective equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hospitality management experience.
- Experience with Marriott or Hilton brands preferred.
- Ability to stay on-site for coverage needs.
- High School diploma or trade school coursework preferred.
- Relevant engineering or maintenance experience or training.
- Certifications may be required.
Work Environment and Context
- Variable work schedule, including holidays and weekends.
- 100% travel across the United States.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, climbing, and crouching.

The salary range is $85,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience. HHM Hotels offers a competitive package aligned with market standards, with higher earnings potential for candidates with 5+ years of experience.
