Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a Private Equity Attorney to join its Boston office as part of a Professional Track Attorney program. This position offers the opportunity to engage in client projects across various practices and industries, with a focus on M&A transactions, leveraged buy-outs, and corporate governance matters. The successful candidate will be integrated into a practice group, working closely with partners and other attorneys. Strong performance can lead to promotion and additional opportunities within the practice.
Location:
Duties:
Act as the primary attorney responsible for due diligence on M&A transactions.
Support leveraged buy-out transactions in all facets.
Represent clients in daily matters, including equity grants and corporate governance.
Communicate effectively with partners, lawyers, clients, and third parties, both verbally and in writing.
Analyze complex legal issues and provide timely, well-reasoned work products.
Manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and staff.
Foster client relationships and anticipate clients' needs to ensure continued engagement.
Adhere to firm policies and practices.
Requirements:
1-3 years of transactional law experience.
Direct and applicable experience with AmLaw 100 law firms or SEC experience is preferred.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and research abilities.
Ability to influence others and persuasive communication skills.
Ability to manage competing demands and work effectively under pressure.
Education:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
