We are seeking a Principal Product Marketing Manager to collaborate with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, and Product to enhance the Mailchimp platform's positioning and messaging. This role will partner with our Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to craft compelling narratives that reach audiences through various channels, including Marketing, Sales, and partner channels, with the goal of driving acquisition and platform adoption. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of uncovering insights that inform impactful GTM strategies.
Responsibilities
- Identify the ideal customer profile and personas: Partner with Research, Sales, Product, and Marketing stakeholders to establish and refine customer profiles and personas, considering opportunity size, willingness to pay, feature preferences, unmet needs, etc.
- Messaging research, strategy development, and testing: Lead platform-level research to assess market trends and competitive dynamics, develop clear and differentiated messaging strategies for the Mailchimp platform, and collaborate with channel owners to test and optimize messages based on empirical insights and team feedback.
- Gather robust social proof: Work with the social proof team to ensure we have the appropriate evidence, such as claims, customer quotes, case studies, accolades, and badges from third-party review sites, to support messaging strategies.
- GTM Strategy and Execution: Provide strategic guidance across channels (web, thought leadership, events, lifecycle, enablement) and oversee GTM execution for major initiatives like global advertising campaigns, flagship events, and website redesigns to drive new customer acquisition and platform adoption.
- Ensure feedback loop and messaging refinements: Extract key learnings from campaign and channel performance, assess messaging effectiveness, and translate insights into optimization opportunities.
**Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance approach. The expected base pay range for this position in the Bay Area, California, is:**
Bay Area California: $197,000 - $266,500

Pay is determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. We also conduct regular pay equity analyses across ethnicity and gender categories.
Minimum qualifications
- Extensive experience in product marketing: 10+ years, especially in messaging strategy development and cross-functional alignment and execution.
- Proven leadership skills: Ability to lead and influence teams and drive consensus.
- Strong analytical and research skills: Proficient in market research, data analysis, and deriving actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills: Capable of crafting compelling narratives and conveying complex ideas clearly.
- Deep understanding of the SaaS and marketing technology landscape: Familiar with current trends and challenges.
