WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You’ll report to the Sr Director, Global Brand Creative, and work daily with peers in Brand Creative, Brand Management, Sports Marketing, Consumer Engagement, Digital Direct, Brand Planning, and Brand Operations. You’ll collaborate closely with the Brand Creative and Brand teams.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We seek a Global Brand Creative Senior Principal Designer to lead our Basketball and Catalyst categories. As a key member of the Global Brand Creative team, you will develop world-class seasonal integrated marketing creative that impacts the Converse brand and business. You will drive the brand’s future as an authentic street-style brand serving youth, through cross-functional and cross-geography collaboration.
You are a multidisciplinary creative experienced in Art Direction, Graphic Design, Typography, and Spatial Design. You thrive in collaborative environments, delivering emotive and innovative work across multiple platforms. You are a leader and mentor, capable of managing and inspiring teams.
You have experience directing creatives, working with writers, strategists, and producers, and leading strategic conversations. You are adept at managing complex projects independently, ensuring attention to detail from conception to delivery, and mentoring others.
You possess a passion for art and design related to Sport and Fashion, particularly Basketball and Catalyst, and stay updated on trends. You have experience commissioning external talent, briefing, critiquing, and expanding your creative network. You are passionate about new technology and digital storytelling, with a strong grasp of social and commerce platform trends.
You will implement creative across channels—from photo direction and narrative development to graphic design, communication, moving images, and environmental design. A successful candidate is versed in digital platforms and storytelling, with a keen eye on current trends across social and owned platforms.

Minimum 10+ years of creative experience in art direction and/or design, preferably with a focus on consumer brands.
Bachelor's degree in Design or related field, or equivalent experience and training.
Strong communication skills, including listening and coaching abilities.
Exceptional design skills—drawing, typography, ideation, color, texture, art direction, visual presentation, and layout—with a track record of innovative application that elevates brand standards.
Experience directing photography, illustration, and external agencies.
Knowledge of current design trends, especially in lifestyle and graphic design.
Technical proficiency in digital and innovative practices.
Ability to distill briefs creatively and clearly communicate your thinking.
Effective collaboration across functions and external stakeholders, embracing shared ownership of workstreams.
Passion for reinventing traditional workflows, challenging norms, and pushing creative boundaries.
Good judgment, decision-making skills, emotional intelligence, and a growth mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English and relationship management skills.
Passion for sport, sports lifestyle, and related culture.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Develop seasonal brand product stories for Basketball and Catalyst categories.
Collaborate with Sr Director and Global Creative Production to research talent, photographers, and collaborators; create mood boards to define seasonal style directions.
Innovate in visual/digital storytelling methods.
Create and update seasonal assets—imagery, copy, design systems.
Develop seasonal creative briefs and manage asset delivery documentation.
Create visual centers and toolkits translating technical and business concepts into accessible communication and guidance.
Manage multiple agency relationships, ensuring design consistency and creative rigor.
Coordinate with teams across North America, Western Europe, China, and global partners, working cross-functionally with Innovation, Design, and Consumer Insights.
