Job Description Summary
Support and promote the sale of Transamerica products through retirement, estate, and wealth planning strategies. Act as a consultant and liaison to the sales force and a business partner to their agents and brokers, providing answers to specific questions and communicating, identifying, and closing sales opportunities. Serve as a mentor, providing guidance and training to staff members and employees.
Responsibilities
- Execute the strategy and goals outlined by the Vice President of Advanced Markets.
- Communicate retirement, estate, tax, and other general financial planning concepts to wholesalers and their agents via phone, webinar, and in person to promote Transamerica products.
- Respond to and follow up on calls and emails from the field.
- Identify opportunities for departmental improvement and ensure the accuracy of information provided by the department.
- Oversee and complete assigned duties within the department.
- Identify sales opportunities and lead projects to support such opportunities.
- Develop and deliver seminar presentations to diverse audiences nationwide.
- Present at industry and broker dealer conferences.
- Serve as liaison to sales force, producers, operations, marketing, and other professional advisors.
- Communicate industry, department, and sales updates to internal and external sales units and/or business units.
- Maintain the department’s relationship with the assigned sales unit as the primary Advanced Markets contact.
- Lead initiatives and oversee the development of sales, marketing, and training materials for Transamerica products and strategies across markets and channels.
- Coordinate training for producers, RVPs, IWs, and staff on financial planning topics and product applications.
- Manage projects and coordinate with staff to ensure completion.
- Set an example for conduct, commitment, and performance; assist management as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses.
- One or more of the following: JD, CFP, CLU, ChFC, CPA.
- Seven years of experience in retirement, estate, and wealth transfer planning.
- Deep knowledge of variable annuities, mutual funds, life insurance, and retirement plans taxation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven presentation and public speaking skills.
- Relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
- Customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate tax degree (LLM, MBT, MST).
- FINRA Series 63 license.
- FINRA Series 7 to be completed within 6 months.
Working Conditions
- Remote work environment.
- Frequent travel (up to 40%).
The salary for this position generally ranges between $126,000 and $167,000 annually. Please note that this is an estimate; actual pay depends on qualifications, experience, location, work arrangement, and operational needs. Salary may vary above or below this range, as permitted by law.
Additionally, the position is typically eligible for a 20% annual bonus based on company and individual performance, at the company's discretion. It may also include sales and performance incentives, detailed in individual incentive plans.
