About The Role
As the Sr. Manager, Global Sales Strategy, Planning and Operations for Delivery Commercial Operations (DCO) at the Digital Sales Center (DSC), you will lead the Sales Strategy & Operations for Uber's SMB sales worldwide. Your responsibilities include building and leading the operational infrastructure, aligning with regional sales objectives, and driving revenue growth.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and is passionate about designing, implementing, and optimizing sales processes and strategies. You will work closely with sales leaders, regional teams, finance, strategy, and other partners to maximize efficiency and growth.
This role requires a strategic mindset, analytical skills, and operational expertise to develop a high-performing team and a world-class sales strategy, planning, and operations function.
What You'll Do
- Build and lead the DSC Sales Strategy, Planning and Operations from scratch, designing processes, systems, standards, and onboarding/coaching team members.
- Support DSC leadership in managing BPO partnerships to meet growth targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and planning processes for DSC.
- Own sales forecasting, target setting, segmentation, and book-of-business design, including OKRs, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
- Lead strategic planning and establish the rhythm of the business with regular cadences.
- Scale sales processes by optimizing tools, reporting, and workflows.
- Partner with DSC and regional sales leaders to analyze performance, identify improvements, and implement recommendations.
- Manage and mentor a growing team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline sales processes and align on objectives.
- Design and execute experiments to drive growth and sales efficiency.
- Ensure the sales strategy addresses the specific needs of SMB merchants to enhance their engagement on Uber Eats.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 7 years supporting a global sales strategy, planning, or GTM operations with 150+ AMs or AEs.
- 3+ years of direct people management experience.
- Experience working across functions like variable compensation, sales forecasting, quota setting, market segmentation, and business development.
- Proven ability to define and improve sales processes and policies for operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint (or Google Slides), and CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years in Sales Strategy, Planning, or GTM Operations with 200+ AMs or AEs.
- 2-3 years as an Account Manager or Account Executive in B2B.
- Experience in high-growth B2B companies.
- Experience managing sales strategy & operations for BPO or scaling sales functions.
- MBA or similar advanced degree.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to influence without authority and thrive in ambiguity.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to scale operations and lead strategic initiatives in a fast-changing environment.
- Strong people management skills and emotional intelligence.
Salary ranges vary by location, e.g., Chicago, IL: USD$167,000 - $186,000; New York, NY: USD$186,000 - $207,000; San Francisco, CA: USD$186,000 - $207,000; Seattle, WA: USD$167,000 - $186,000.
