Commerce, Data & Identity provides core product management functions for digital commerce, identity, and growth initiatives, as well as enterprise-wide projects like messaging and privacy. It also manages data engineering, science, and products for Disney Entertainment & ESPN, connecting with other Disney divisions.
Job Summary
We seek a Senior Product Manager to deliver top-tier consumer-facing commerce services. As part of the growing Commerce Product team, you will define and support key aspects of our commerce experiences within the core platform group. This role acts as a liaison among business, data, legal, compliance, finance, and technology teams to optimize commerce objectives. The ideal candidate is collaborative, data-driven, customer-obsessed, opinionated yet open-minded, and trustworthy. We value passionate leadership with discipline and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Establish product strategy for the next-generation commerce platform powering Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu, focusing on finance and accounting data.
- Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for systems supporting accounting and revenue operations across multiple products.
- Deliver features to scale services globally.
- Prioritize features based on data, with clear measurable goals.
- Provide domain expertise and leadership, collaborating with finance, legal, product, data, and engineering teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues affecting reporting accuracy and dependencies.
- Maintain JIRA tasks, boards, documentation, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into detailed product requirements and user stories for engineering teams.
- Develop a product roadmap aligned with business and customer goals.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of product management experience in an enterprise environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with internationally distributed digital products.
- Familiarity with streaming video industry and value propositions.
- Experience with JIRA and similar tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
- Experience working with remote teams using technology and process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree or MBA, or related certifications.
- Experience supporting subscription products.
- Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and SOX compliance.
