Our client, Koja, is seeking a business-savvy Sales Director to help grow the company’s Marine segment in the US and Global markets. About the position
This is an amazing opportunity for a highly motivated sales professional to be part of Koja’s continued growth in the United States. As Sales Director, you will be fully responsible for the sales management and development of Koja’s Marine sector in the US. You will develop the sales and marketing strategy for their US customer base in the area of HVAC after-sales solutions. To succeed in this role, you must possess strong planning and risk management skills. The ideal candidate will have a sound technical background, a successful track record in selling technical solutions, and the ability to motivate a sales team with good communication skills. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced, multinational environment. This position will be based in Florida and report directly to the President of Koja USA. Travel of up to 30-40% is to be expected, domestic and international. Your responsibilities include:
- Manage and develop the aftermarket sales of Koja Marine and ensure effective customer relationships throughout the US market
- Develop a work environment that ensures continued business growth with Ship Owners and long-term customer satisfaction and success
- Manage customer accounts from prospecting and quotation to project closing
- Conduct surveys on customers’ project sites to ensure correct price calculations and project implementation
- Develop and implement the long-term sales strategy for after-sales HVAC solutions for US Ship Owners
- Lead the sales for US customers as a member of Koja USA’s management team
- Report directly to the President of Koja USA
What we expect from you
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Min. 5-7 years of experience in technical sales with a proven track record of increasing sales in small or midcap companies
- Experience in project-based business and product and/or system sales
- Knowledge and/or experience in HVAC systems is a must
- Experience negotiating and understanding complex contracts
- Ability to lead, manage, and inspire high-performing sales teams, communicating vision and setting goals
- Experience working in a multinational matrix business environment, along with a passion for collaboration with multinational teams
- Outstanding English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Solid planning and risk management skills with efficient decision-making skills
- High integrity, accuracy, and efficiency in business development tasks
- Ability to develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Affinity to problem-solving, negotiating, and time-management
- High energy and drive
- Creative and pragmatic team-player
