Our client is a high growth Biotech company seeking a US Sales Manager, who will serve a pivotal role in growing existing accounts and open new accounts across the US. This position will target Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Research Organizations and large Academia accounts. They will collaborate with the Executive Leadership team to understand account performance trends, propose tactics to increase sales into whitespace of such accounts by discovering unmet needs, and executes solid plans to cover the white space and achieve desired account-specific goals. The position is an individual sales contributor and will heavily prospect new customers and partner with Scientific Subject Matter experts to close technical sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivers solid analysis of account performance findings, propose tactic, and execute based on assigned activities/goal targets
- Accountable for full execution and results of sales plan for all sales within assigned territory
- Prospects large accounts within Life Sciences and adjacencies such as Animal Health, CROs, and Chemical Companies.
- Reach out to customer leads through cold calling, emails or follow through on sales leads obtained from Marketing or Account Sales Analysis
- Sets up appoints/meetings for the Senior members of the Business Development/Sales team to discuss technical solutions and needs
- Develops deep relationships with the scientific teams in both existing and new accounts to help scientific contacts understand the benefits of intended tactics.
- Works closely with internal Strategic Account Management team as well as Client Services, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure Client needs are address most appropriately and with urgency.
- Provides regular updates to SVP on progress on prospective customer interactions
- Continuously improve through feedback
- Maintains regular work schedule and is free from excessive absenteeism or tardiness

Education and/or experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Minimum 3 years sales experience, science related sales preferred
- Highly motivated and target driven
- Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills – proven ability to chase down leads and connect leads to get to target personas within accounts
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Experience working with sf.com, Netsuite or similar CRM preferred
- Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Sharp analytical skills. Must be able to analyze accounts analytically and derive tactics to fill ‘white space’ to optimize revenue generation from an account.
