About the Role:
Twelve Labs is building the world’s most powerful video understanding infrastructure, and we are hiring a Lead Product Manager (Core Experience) to lead the evolution of our user interface (Playground) and ultimately unify it into a comprehensive, end-user-facing platform.
This interface will be the first and most important touchpoint where users experience the power of our Marengo and Pegasus models. Your mission is to define and deliver a novel “human interface” for video interaction, one that bridges advanced model capabilities with intuitive, delightful UX.
This role sits at the heart of our product-led growth (PLG) motion: you’ll be responsible for crafting core workflows that drive engagement, retention, and value realization. You’ll lead with a bias toward shipping, learning, and iterating. You’ll engage deeply with users, understand where the model shines (and where it could), and build proprietary UX patterns that set our product apart.
You will:
- Own the vision, direction, and execution of the Playground and Unified Platform experience, crafting the core interface through which users interact with our video AI models.
- Drive product-led growth initiatives across acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization by connecting model capabilities with seamless product UX.
- Conduct deep user discovery to uncover pain points and unmet needs; translate findings into actionable product features and strategic roadmap bets.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle from ideation and design to launch and post-release iteration.
- Develop a nuanced understanding of the video AI landscape, and help define where Twelve Labs should build, buy, or partner to create differentiated user experiences.
- Continuously improve the product by integrating customer feedback, supporting internal testing, and prioritizing quality and craft in every release.
- You’ve built and shipped complex UX applications. You bring 5+ years of product management experience, ideally working on technically sophisticated products involving generative AI or video/media workflows.
- You’re both UX- and growth-minded. You know how to design delightful user journeys and drive measurable growth outcomes across the product funnel.
- You’re obsessed with customers. You excel at discovery, validation, and defining features that solve real problems, not just demo features.
- You love creating new product categories. You’re excited by the chance to invent new categories, shape interface paradigms that don’t yet exist, and create product intuition where there are no prior conventions.
- You care about craft. You value polish, attention to detail, and product coherence. You sweat the details without being stressed by them.
- You’ve successfully launched products that grew through exceptional user experience and smart growth loops.
- You have a technical background (or work fluently with engineering teams).
