Excite Health Partners Allied is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a travel job in State College, Pennsylvania. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Echo Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days, evenings Employment Type: Travel POSITION SUMMARY Performs sonographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Completion of a specialized training program in Ultrasonic Technology or on-the-job training with a registered sonographer preferred. Experience: • One year of experience performing ultrasound procedures in a hospital, clinic or physicians office preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. • Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and procedures, protocols and safety hazards common to administering ultrasounds including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement. • Knowledge of physician office procedures, ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines. • Skill in conducting equipment operation training to co-workers. • Ability to operate a computer and access applicable programs. • Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively and to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures. • Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and perform simple adjustments. • Skill in the production and communication of sonograms. License/Certification/Registration: • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or registry eligible for cardiac sonography; • Meets the American Heart Associations standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
