Job Description
We are working with a respected and established law firm in Orange County, California seeking a Construction & Surety Litigation Attorney to join their team. This is a full-time, in-office position (5 days per week) offering an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a minimum of 2 years of relevant litigation experience to build a long-term career with a collaborative and high-performing group.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling construction litigation , surety claims , and related disputes. You should be confident in managing cases from inception through resolution, including depositions, court appearances, legal research, motion practice, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in construction-related litigation and surety matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal briefs
- Attend court hearings, mediations, depositions, and arbitrations
- Work closely with partners and clients to develop and execute litigation strategy
- Conduct investigations and analyze construction contracts and surety bonds
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
- Minimum 2 years of litigation experience , with preference for construction or surety work
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to work in the office five days a week
