VP of Engineering

HockeyStack is the Command Center for B2B revenue teams. It integrates with your CRM, marketing automation tools, ad platforms, and data warehouse to show the ideal customer journey. HockeyStack customers use this data to measure channel performance, launch cost-efficient campaigns, and prioritize the right accounts.

We have a very technical team of builders, and our CTO enjoys coding. What we lack is someone to handle the people and processes side of things as the team grows beyond 15 engineers. This role involves:

1. Hiring talented individuals and attracting top talent
2. Managing 1:1s and team motivation
3. Owning the overall output of engineering and finding ways to increase efficiency
4. Tracking the progress of engineering initiatives and pushing projects forward
5. Supporting the team, including reviewing code or contributing directly if needed
6. Hiring and team development

Qualifications:

• Ability to work from our downtown San Francisco office
• Experience building teams from scratch
• Startup experience, either as a founder or early employee at a reputable company
• Recent familiarity with coding, even if not actively coding
• At least 2 years of managing people or holding Head+ roles
• Approximately 7-8 years of experience in engineering organizations
