Managed Services is a critical component of the EY Vision 2020+ strategy and a new area of growth. To meet this strategic goal, we are changing our operating model to enable our Areas (Americas, EMEIA, APAC) to have the right team for Managed Services pursuits.

We are seeking a Transition Lead to join our Managed Services team. As a Transition Lead, you will play a key role in establishing and embedding effective transition plans for new Managed Services engagements, supporting the transition of services to the account and delivery teams.

You will report to the Area MS Transition Lead and collaborate closely with global stakeholders and delivery teams.

Your key responsibilities

1. Ensure successful setup and transition of all engagement aspects as delivery teams mobilize.
2. Coordinate with the client-facing team for engagement setup before transitioning to delivery.
3. Build and maintain relationships with clients and EY leadership.
4. Organize the transition team, defining roles and responsibilities.
5. Work within the deal cycle on transition solution designs and contracts.
6. Design and implement transition and programme structures.
7. Manage transition and go-live readiness.
8. Advise workstreams to ensure successful launches and transitions.
9. Develop and manage program budgets.
10. Establish efficient ways of working with the delivery team.
11. Define transition planning and execution approaches.
12. Implement knowledge capture processes.
13. Set acceptance and handover criteria with delivery teams.
14. Identify and manage transition risks and issues.
15. Ensure contractual obligations are met and closed.
16. Design and operate post go-live transformation programs.
17. Enhance managed services capabilities, methodologies, and tools.
18. Coordinate the transition community for sharing lessons and tools.
19. Ensure complete and accurate reporting for decision-making.

The job title does not limit your duties; you may be asked to perform other tasks as needed.

Skills and attributes for success

• 15+ years of experience in transition management of complex Managed Services deals.
• Extensive programme and project management experience, including managing global teams.
• Experience in change management, process and operating model design, and implementation.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with C-Suite and senior stakeholders.
• Business partnering skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders.
• High drive, independence, and adaptability to change.
• Exposure to transformation initiatives involving tech/ERP deployment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, MBA, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience working in Big 4 or professional service organizations.
